Feeling good..

Did relief teaching at CHIJ OLGC again on tue and wed.. Took a P5 class this time.. It's the exam period now, so all i had to do was to invigilate the exam and revise abit after their papers. It was interesting to observe how the kids took their exams.. Some were tense and remained stuck at one question for very long; some looked really calm as they breezed through the questions; others did not appear bothered abt the exam as they looked ard looking for inspiration. As i read through the English and Maths exam questions, i thought the standards now are much much higher compared to 10 years ago when i was in P5.. The answers cannot be found directly from the passage in the English comprehension; understanding, integration and thinking must be carried out to answer the qns now.. Much process skills, thinking and application are required for solving Maths problem sums now.. Nothing was too difficult 10 years ago.. So glad i'm old.. =X I think children today are having a harder time in school.. Poor thing.. haha..

Each relief teaching session is always an ego booster.. Cos in the eyes of little children, the most ordinary person in me can actually appear so perfect.. haha.. The girls would think that i'm smart, pretty, tall, thin, young, sweet, nice, and every other positive quality that they could come up with.. =p In the world of adults, who'll ever compliment you like that? haha.. Children are so innocently simple, cute and lovable... It's fun being with them! =)

The girls said that i looked really fierce when they saw me for the first time.. See, i can actually be intimidating k.. hehe.. I'm not a sweet little tame girl that most ppl think i am.. Hmm actually, i just wanted to appear strict and fierce when i did exam invigilation at first so that none of them would dare to do anything mischievious.. hehe.. After the exam, i was still very nice and friendly to them and we had very interesting chats.. Anw, i'm just 10 years older than them, not that old.. I can still be their friend.. hehe.. A few girls drew pictures and cards, left their email addresses, etc for me on the 2nd day.. So sweet! =)

Two days of relief teaching brought $130 extra income for me.. Yay! =) I'll be teaching again for 2 days next week, taking another P5 class.. Looking forward to more fun and more income..

Another happy event took place for me! I struck 4D on Wed.. 2308, starters, $250! I'm a happier person.. haha..
