Today is my elder sis, Rachel's birthday! Eh, i bought a Hershey's sundae pie meant for her to eat during midnight.. Why Hershey's sundae pie? Cos all the cake shops were closed when i finished watching Kung Fu last night.. only Burger King was still open.. haha.. Anyway, she likes to eat that mah.. hmm.. Though there seemed to be a significant difference between what i got for Janice and da-jie (haha..), it's the thought that counts right? and, da-jie has Mark to celebrate for her, so i think she won't care much for my gift too.. hehe.. Wow, Mark brought a birthday cake, a bouquet of flowers and a present to my house early in the morning.. Surprise!! Think my lil Hershey's sundae pie is really insignificant.. No wonder it's still lying in the fridge now.. Oops!

I made Simon make a Christmas card for me too.. =p Wow, he spent lots of time working on it! Pretty sweet.. So here's his production..
The words on the front cover of the card are neatly cross-stitched on.. I thought they were really nice! The inside of the card.. It comes with a popup "GRACE", music of Chirstmas songs and the "Merry Christmas" in the middle lights up! Say WOW!! ;) Haha.. Pretty impressive hor? When i asked for a handmade card, I was just expecting a simple one made with lots of sincerity.. =p So happy to see the effort he put in! Thanks so much, dear dear! =) Anyway, i made one for Simon too.. Forgot to take a pic of it before giving it to him, so nothing to show here.. Probably not as impressive, but it's very special too cos i made it.. hehe.. i put in much time and effort k.. =p MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I did rebonding at Jean Yip Majestic today.. Now, my hair is straight, sleek, soft and easy to manage.. hehe i love it this way! Anyway, the hairstylist asked me where i cut my hair cos he thought it was poorly done as the layers were not continuous.. See, not only i found the haircut in JB a disaster.. haha a professional thought so too... so i conclude that it's not good to take the risk and try a haircut by a new hairstylist.. Better to stick to the old and familiar hairstylist.. =p
Today, Audrey came over to my place for a baking session.. We baked lots of cupcakes! ;) hmm.. and we talked about everything, had a mini ktv session, laughed alot, etc etc.. Really missed catching up with Audrey! We're real old pals who can share everything! =)Supposed to have dinner with my pri sch classmates at 7 pm in town, but i was too tired and lazy to go in the end.. exhaustion from the long JB trip yesterday and the standing during baking.. =p Anyway, we'll be having another post-Christmas and pre-NY dinner soon.. so i'll go for that then.. hehe..
Went JB today with Simon, Zhixian, Rena, Juina and Hui Mean.. all 6 of us! hmm Wenqi couldn't join us cos she was ill.. so poor thing! =p Anyway, HM and Juina brought us ard JB, with HM driving.. Had the famous "Ya Kun Fishball Noodles" (i think it's famous cos it's delicious.. hehe) for lunch, went shopping, went for a haircut, went to visit HM's really impressive house (WOW!!), played cards at her place and won 18RM =), had cheap-and-quite-nice dinner at the market (da4 ma3 ba1 sha1), went to the Sagittarius music cafe... Very fun trip indeed, thanks HM and Juina for playing such great hosts!Talking about the haircut, my used-to-be-very-long-hair has become significantly shorter now.. Not nice liao.. haiz.. =( kind of regretted going for the cut.. Think i'd better stick to my usual hairstylist and not change anyhow from now on.. haha..
hmm.. the housewife in me mopped the floor yesterday.. See, while mum's away, i can cook, wash the clothes, sweep and mop the floor, take care of my sis, etc etc.. Think i really make a good wife hor? hahaha..
Today, it's Simon's turn to cook for us.. hmm i was demoted to a kitchen assistant.. hehe.. wow! Dinner was delicious and sumptuous.. Not bad, i've engaged quite a good cook! Thanks! ;)
Wow! I prepared dinner today!! Other than during the Home Economics classes during my sec sch days, the only other time i cooked a full, proper meal was on Mother's Day this year.. hehe.. So, today was the 2nd time i played chef at home.. =) Cooked 3 dishes, rice and soup for dinner.. The food turned out to be as good as what mum always cooked.. Everyone said so, not only myself k.. hehe.. I always observe mum when she cooks, so i have acquired some of her culinary skills mah.. See, my observations paid off! ;) haha.. Must give credit to those who contributed too.. hehe..Simon - prepared the soupMark - fried the eggs with prawnsRachel (elder sis) - helped in the seasoningJanice (younger sis) - peeled potatoes, cooked rice, helped in the seasoning and provided much moral support.. hehe.. so helpful!! =)Wah, stood for 3 hours to prepare all the stuff.. so tiring to prepare a meal wor.. =p must appreciate what mum does all the time more!
My sis missed Mummy last night.. haha.. Today, I brought her to collect a "Teenage" magazine subsciption goodies bag from International Plaza, and then went shopping.. ;) Quite fun.. It's been some time since the 2 of us went shopping together. Bought lots of stuff again.. Met up with my elder sis and Mark for dinner at Crystal Jade at Suntec City in the evening.. Their treat again.. =p Got a ride home from them too.. more convenient and safer this way.. hehe..At night, Simon came to accompany us. =)
hmm.. mum is going for a 6-day stay at the temple starting from today.. To learn more about Buddhism.. She'll be back on sunday.. hehe.. I think my mum is a devoted Buddhist and finds strength and peace from Buddhism.. i guess it's really time for her to do the things that she likes cos she has been so self-sacrificial for our sakes for > 20 years.. =) Anw, before she left, she bought lots of groceries, tidbits and also a fighting fish for my younger sis.. haha.. so cute.. =pSince mum is not in, I have to stand in as the 'housewife'.. cannot go out freely like before cos i have to accompany my younger sis at home.. Today, my sec sch frens had a ktv-cum-RA movie-cum-dinner outing (i think.. hehe..), but i couldn't join them.. so sad.. =( but the good thing is, they'll be going to JB on Monday! I can join them then.. Hui Mean and Juina will be bringing us around.. ;) YEAH!! Looking forward to that..
From thurs to sat, i was at Pasir Ris Costa Sands chalet with my elder sis, her bf (Mark), my younger sis and Simon.. all 5 of us.. ;) Hmm what did we do for the 3 days 2 nights? We went to the Escape Theme Park.. i like driving the go-kart!! Wah, many kids wanted Simon to drive them cos the ride requires an adult with a child.. so he drove 5 kids consecutively without having to queue up again.. so envious of him!! =X What else? Had a bbq, went bowling, to the arcade, swimming, sun-tanning, etc etc.. Got sunburn from tanning in the end.. =p Mine is mild cos i'm already dark like a Malay in the first place so my threshold is higher.. haha.. Simon got a bad sunburn and was red like a lobster! Still peeling and itching up till today.. haha.. but tan = more gd-looking.. =pAnyway, the chalet was still quite fun though there were only 5 of us.. but, my sis and Mark spent lots of $$ on these 3 days.. treated us to almost everything - meals, bbq food, Theme Park entrance, bowling, etc etc.. Met up with my primary school classmates for dinner at some coffee shop in AMK.. to eat the chilli crabs i've been craving for.. hehe.. Wow, i think all these friends of mine are really so nice to accept my suggestion to meet up and have chilli crabs for dinner! I'm so touched.. Thanks to all for the company! ;)hmm.. We ordered chili crabs with buns, steamed grouper, sweet and sour chicken, hotplate beancurd, Nestum cereal prawns and sambal kangkong.. quite delicious food.. but, i loved the chilli crabs most (obviously.. since it's my long-time craving.. even dreamt of them lor..) Think i ate the greatest portion of chilli crabs compared to everyone else.. *Oops!* =p My friends were very kind too, haha, kept asking me to eat.. REALLY satisfied my craving today!! ;) 9 of us paid a total of $140+.. pretty reasonable for the gd food..Looking forward to our next gathering.. which will probably be a steamboat dinner during the post-Christmas and pre-New Year period.. Spouses invited too right? hehe.. Think everyone hopes to see Zhiwei bring his dream girl along then.. Jia you and good luck! ;)
Kept going out to walk, shop and buy stuff these days.. My wallet feels lighter and my legs ache more than before.. Think i'm going broke and my legs are breaking soon... =p
hmm.. today, i met up with Shiqi, Serene and Zhixian (my JC friends).. Didn't really do much.. Just shopped around in town, ate and sat down to talk.. Anyway, heard this v funny story of Shiqi's encounter with a friend she met during the exam period..

Friend: I'm very environmental friendly one.. I always use 3 sheets of paper and leave 1 sheet of paper..

Anyway, it's quite a great feeling to see my good old friends again and catch up with them.. eh, we must keep in touch more often k.. ;) Let me see what else i did today.. *thinking* i went for eyebrow shaping.. and bought a black halterneck top! It's a vvvv nice top which i like alot.. cos "it matches my style".. (quoted from the lady at the shop.. hehe..)

Today, Simon and i signed up for the off-peak gym membership.. $50 for 6 months! pretty worthwhile cos we visit the gym 2-3 times a week.. each visit costs $2.50.. so we stand to gain eventually.. hehe.. Anyway, Simon's aim is to build up muscle mass and become muscular and well-toned.. Think basically he wants to look like a hunk.. hor? =p haha.. Mine is to lose weight (anw, which girl is ever satisfied with her weight?!) and look more toned.. hehe.. Stepped onto the weighing scale in the gym today and found my weight to be 44kg!! Think it used to be 46kg? haha.. looks like all the gym sessions are producing results.. YEAH!! ;)In the evening, we went to Art Friend at Bras Basah Complex.. to buy the materials i need for making my cards.. hehe.. Lots of interesting art and craft stuff there.. I love to visit the shop! Anyway, i made him make a Christmas card for me.. haha.. looking forward to see what he comes up with.. =p Meanwhile, i'm going to embark on my card making project soon!
hmm.. I din get my full leg massage today.. =( Anyway, i went out to town again today.. to have dinner buffet at Phoenix Hotel with Simon's family.. hehe.. It's his sis' treat cos she received her bonus! hmm, i'm always invited when they go out for meals, or have a feast at home, etc etc.. They always make me feel like i'm family, so i feel really lucky and comfortable. I'm really grateful to meet these people with big hearts! Thanks dear dear, cos you made all this possible.. =) Sometimes, i'm even envious of u lor.. so do treasure what u have in ur family k.. ;) Back to the buffet.. i was really FULL at the end of it all.. Next, we went to catch "Shutter".. It was a pretty scary movie as i got a few shocks from some scenes. Probably dare not take too many pictures next time in case shadows are seen in the pics.. =p I feel so tired now after going out for 2 consecutive days.. Need a gd rest now! Good night.. ;)
I woke up this morning thinking of chilli crabs! haha.. i thought i remembered my elder sis telling me that dad went to buy crabs and mum would be cooking them for dinner!! I got out of bed in excitement to ask mum.. and then realised that it was all a very sweet DREAM!!! hahaha.. think i must be thinking too much abt them.. been telling everyone abt them.. so the dream was inevitable.. =phmm.. i went shopping with Wenqi today.. The shopaholic in me had been deprived of shopping for a long time, so i really enjoyed our outing today.. The most significant and satisfactory item that we bought was a Dior lipgloss! we got one each.. ;) and that was the result of browsing through all the beauty and makeup counters in Tangs and Isetan! hehe.. Let me describe the lipgloss abit.. It comes in a small rectangular transparent container or bottle (i dunno wat to call it lah..) with 'Dior' engraved on it and a gold-coloured cap.. it simply looks so classy and branded! We really adore it! Agreed, wenqi? =) Oh yes! i must say that the revamped Tangs is really a great place to shop at.. Do check it out, especially the lingerie department.. I'm just amazed at it! hehe.. So, we spent 9 hours today shopping, eating and talking abt everything.. ;) At the end of the day, i really enjoyed myself but my legs ached soooo much! Looking forward to a full leg massage tmr.. hee..
I went to the library today and borrowed this really nice book on creative DIY card making.. It's amazing that u can do so much with things like stones, pebbles, buttons, biscuit and sweet wrappers, used batteries, CDs, etc etc.. and transform them into super duper unique cards for any occasion.. WOW!!! Think i've found something new to do during this holiday - making cards! Probably try to do as many as possible for all the special people in my life.. ;) So, if you receive one, you're special to me!! Well, if you don't, you're also special but it's probably because my patience in making cards has been exhausted.. =p Used to borrow lots of books on such craft work during each holiday period.. Think some of my frens might know i was once interested in soap making, candle making, metal crafts, etc etc.. but never got down to do them cos the hobby was just too expensive to keep and the materials were not readily available.. hehe, i'll stick to card making this holiday.. wait for my followup on this! =)
